DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Administrative Officer 1, you will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and developing program operating procedures for all department-administered contracts and grants as well as conducting and guiding staff through the Request for Applications (RFA) process. Work involves developing procedures surrounding the RFA process to streamline and create efficiencies throughout the agency. You will have the opportunity to work with staff to develop and/or implement standard operation procedures and policies as well as maintain BPCM and customer checklists, guidance documents, and related templates. Additional responsibilities include:
- Coordinating and preparing reports on various DHS grant and contract programs
- Evaluating and identifying items, ensuring needs are met or adjusted to meet the standards, policies, and needs of DHS grant and contract programs
- Serving as the Grants Center training coordinator
- Routing various documents such as new agreements, extensions, renewals, and amendments through the approval process

- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
- You will be required to report to work physically in the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays for your first four weeks, with the exception of the first week which you would be required to report physically to the office on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. At the completion of the four weeks, your performance will be assessed and may result in only physically reporting to the office one day per week.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience in varied office management or staff work; and bachelor's degree; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:
