DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Clerical Assistant 3, you will screen all incoming correspondence relating to casualty, estate recovery, and other personal injury requests for appropriateness, completeness, and urgency. You will be responsible for analyzing information and compiling complex client data for agents and investigators for their use in negotiating a final settlement of a claim. This role requires strong decision-making skills and effective communication to independently open cases and process claims as well as correspond with attorneys, recipients, insurance companies, nursing home facilities, county assistance offices, and additional outside agencies. You will also be responsible for managing a file room, answering dedicated hotline calls, and maintaining knowledge of federal and state laws, regulations, and policies. Interested in learning more? - Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:
