The Division of Enrollment Management at Rutgers University-New Brunswick (
EMNB) is comprised of eight student-facing and administrative units: Undergraduate Admissions, Graduate Admissions, the Office of Financial Aid, the Office of the Registrar, and the One Stop Student Services Center, as well as business, information technology, and strategy and analytics administrative teams. The division employs over 100 full-time staff and an additional 200+ student employees to fulfill its mission. Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking an Admissions Officer for The Undergraduate Admissions Office within the Division of Enrollment Management at Rutgers University-New Brunswick (
EMNB).
Among the key duties of the position are the following:
- Handles recruitment, admissions counseling, marketing, communications, and forges strong relations with students, parents/guardians, counselors/educational advisors, alumni, etc.
- Analyzes recruitment markets (domestically throughout the US and internationally) and develops plans for recruitment/marketing and implements these programs.
- Travels internationally and domestically to participate in educational fairs/events, visits high schools, colleges or universities, and provides information presentations.
- Meets and develops relations with school leadership and maintains ongoing communications with leadership.
- Conducts counseling sessions with prospective students, parents, school or college personnel, and other interested individuals or groups.
- Analyzes effectiveness of recruitment activities and submits productivity reports upon request.
- Communicates and develops positive relations with university personnel in both academic and administrative units.
- Coordinates recruitment events as needed and conducts on-campus information sessions and counseling as required.
- Reviews, evaluates, and makes decisions on an assigned proportion of the total first-year, transfer, fall, and spring applications for admission to the undergraduate schools and colleges of the University such that timely notification and enrollment goals are achieved.
- Develops expertise in international credential evaluation and serves as a resource to other counselors in this capacity.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor's degree and at least two years of experience, preferably in a college admissions setting; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Certifications/Licenses |
- A valid driver's license would be required for this position; Use of personal vehicle in order to travel for business demands.
- Passport required.
