JOB SUMMARY
Works under general supervision of the Director of Clinical Programs & Initiatives for Health System Nursing, responsible for assisting the Director in the development, coordination, and management of clinical programs in the nursing portfolio, and strategic initiatives across inpatient nursing.

    Bachelor's Degree BSN


  • Experience
    5 years experience as registered nurse and
    2 years of management experience


  • Licenses and Certifications
    (NLC) NURSING LICENSURE COMPACT-BNE


JOB DUTIES



  • Assists nursing leaders in the coordination and management of Strategic Initiatives across nursing.
  • Facilitates review and documentation of nursing's strategic plan with focus on the integration of service line projects and metrics.
  • Provides leadership of identified clinical programs in the nursing portfolio, including management of staff, program coordination (40% allocation to the Palliative Care Program), and development of emerging programs.
  • Provides leadership, direction, monitoring and oversight for Quality, Compliance, Improvement and Safety within UH Nursing portfolio.
  • Works closely with the Magnet program leaders to provide any required support data, including monitoring of nurse sensitive clinical indicators, patient experience data, and nurse engagement data.
  • Acts as a liaison with external partners for nursing-related patient experience initiatives and programs
  • Remains current with and progressively learns accreditation standards relevant to the clinical programs within the portfolio.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
