Senior Major Account Manager - Federal DoD

We have an opportunity for aSenior Major Account Manager - Federal DoD to join ourFederal sales team,reporting tothe Senior Director of Sales, Federal. In this pivotal role, you will focus growing revenues within an install base and acquiring new accounts. This includes owning and coordinating all aspects of the sales cycle and maintaining and expanding the customer base within the federal space. Our successful salespeople have an entrepreneurial spirit while acting ethically and transparently.

Be a Contributor - What You'll Do


  • Own and manage the full sales cycle within assigned DoD accounts, from prospecting through closing and account expansion.
  • Develop deep understanding of DoD organizational structure, funding cycles, mission objectives, and acquisition processes.
  • Build strategic relationships with senior decision-makers, influencers, and procurement officers within Army, Navy, Air Force, and other DoD branches.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across existing and new DoD agencies.
  • Create and execute comprehensive account plans that align with customer goals and company strategy.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with pre-sales, marketing, legal, channel, and product teams to deliver customized solutions.
  • Accurately forecast pipeline and revenue; manage CRM and reporting tools consistently.
  • Stay current on relevant government compliance requirements, contract vehicles (e.g., GSA, SEWP, 2GIT), and federal regulations (e.g., FAR/DFARS).
  • Build the value-added channel and distributor network

Be Prepared - What You Bring


  • 7+ years in successful technology sales to the DoD Community with a proven track record of attaining quotas, using solution selling/target account selling methodology
  • Own and manage the full sales cycle within assigned DoD accounts, from prospecting through closing and account expansion.
  • Develop deep understanding of DoD organizational structure, funding cycles, mission objectives, and acquisition processes.
  • Build strategic relationships with senior decision-makers, influencers, and procurement officers within Army, Navy, Air Force, and other DoD branches.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across existing and new DoD agencies.
  • Create and execute comprehensive account plans that align with customer goals and company strategy.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with pre-sales, marketing, legal, channel, and product teams to deliver solutions.
  • Accurately forecast pipeline and revenue; manage CRM and reporting tools consistently.
  • Stay current on relevant government compliance requirements, contract vehicles (e.g., GSA, SEWP, 2GIT), and federal regulations (e.g., FAR/DFARS). Experience in DNS, DHCP, and IPAM (DDI) puts you at the front of the line
  • Cloud and/or security knowledge is highly desirable
  • Professionals with superior people skills and a can-do attitude highly desired
  • TS/SCI Security Clearance a plus
  • Bachelor's Degree

We practice pay transparency and reward performance. Offers reflect role location, internal equity, experience, skills, education, and certifications. Base salary for this position: [$140K - $150K plus bonus or commissions]
