Jack Henry & Associates has an opportunity available for a technically minded, motivated, and dedicated individual to join our team of Computer Operators. The Computer Operator will be part of a 24/7 operation staff that monitors Financial Institution connections and job schedulers. They are responsible for monitoring and alerting network connection issues. This position plays an integral part in keeping our Financial Institution clients up and running to serve their clients. To be successful in this role you must be attentive and have strong written and verbal communication skills to relay any issues or problems to the team or other groups within the organization. This position will work 4-10 hour shifts overnights and can be worked remotely from anywhere in the United States. All equipment needed for this position except your high-speed internet connection is provided by Jack Henry & Associates

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Maintains necessary operating records, checklists, and procedures to ensure accuracy and completion of functions.
  • Monitors the console and other online systems. Responds with appropriate actions and escalations.
  • Follows established guidelines to ensure the security of data and computer systems.
  • Completes the shift turnover log for the next shift, and reviews the shift turnover log from the previous shift.
  • Provides support to customers and internal users in a professional and courteous manner.
  • May perform other job duties as assigned.

What you'll need to have:

  • Minimum of 1 year of working experience in customer service, banking or credit union, operations, or in a technical environment such as systems monitoring, helpdesk, computer operations.
  • Ability to work 4- 10 hour shifts that is overnights and weekends and the ability to cover additional shifts as needed.

What would be nice for you to have:

  • Experience with FTP Protocols and SMA OPCON.
  • Experience working in a financial institution.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office to monitor alerts and communications from systems and to correspond with teams and operators as needed.
