Your Role

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for interviewing and selecting candidates. Ensure appropriate staffing levels and skills are maintained. Assess employee work performance against clearly established expectations, identify areas that need improvement and provide documented coaching where necessary. Ensure the use of safe work practices and behaviors.
  • Facilitate training and cross training, including identifying needs for training, designating the trainer, and working through frequent training assessments.
  • Ensure safety, quality, and productivity objectives are met through coaching, standardized work, smooth and safe running of work cells and producing quality parts.
  • Drive to exceed personal, team and company goals by holding self & team to high performance standards.
  • Work alongside production operation teams to drive KPI's and performance goals set out for the department.
  • Lead by example and provide support to the operation teams to meet/exceed production goals.
  • Create standard work practices for all operations to balance the workload and available capacity in collaboration with planning and logistics teams.
  • Make decisions independently using sound problem solving and/ or analytical skills.
  • Work with manufacturing process technicians, manufacturing engineers, quality teams and HR to resolve reoccurring nonconformance issues.
  • Provide accurate production status updates to Operations Management, Engineering, and floor production teams at the Tier meetings.
  • Coordinate with engineering, logistics, supply chain, quality, and other departments to minimize production interruptions.
  • Identify process and equipment problems to determine root cause(s), escalate any equipment issues in a timely manner to minimize production execution disruptions and influence implementation of appropriate corrective action(s) utilizing cross-functional teams.
  • Lead efforts, as a production point of contact, to transition product from engineering development to full rate production.
  • Monitor labor hours and identify overtime needs to support production schedules.
  • Collaborate with CI teams in using Lean Manufacturing Methodologies to perform root cause analysis, develop and deliver continuous improvement initiatives in safety, environmental, quality, cost, efficiency, and productivity objectives.
  • Facilitate completion of tasks & projects assigned to Manufacturing Process Technicians and Team Leads in support of daily production floor executions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of Supervisory experience in manufacturing environment or Associate Degree with 5+ years of Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills are necessary, with previous supervisory experience highly preferred.
  • Able to adapt to constant changing work assignments and fast paced work environment.
  • Excellent concentration and attention to detail with outstanding work efficiency and accuracy.
  • Experience with applying lean manufacturing principles, efficiency methods.
  • Experience solving manufacturing problems related to incapable processes and or designs.
  • Demonstrated record of high-performance.
  • Previous experience working in a clean room environment is helpful.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Ability to create documents, spreadsheets, and power point presentations.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, Creo, Oracle, SharePoint.
