Summary:
This role bridges the gap between our commercial business unit and IT organization, ensuring effective collaboration and alignment of technology solutions with business objectives. The responsibilities include coordinating and leading the business through process design and implementation of technology solutions in partnership with IT Service delivery teams.


Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the strategic use of technology capabilities and business process improvements to drive business growth.
  • Build and manage effective relationships with the respective Commercial stakeholders.
  • Partner with business functions to develop, maintain, and communicate aligned IT strategies while overseeing implementation of IT projects in support of the strategy.
  • Participate in the prioritization of the Commercial systems portfolio and represent the portfolio to stakeholders.
  • Maintain a pulse on industry technology trends/initiatives and communicates to appropriate business and IT staff. Serve as a thought leader and change agent to drive results.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of related business processes to serve as subject matter expert on behalf of business stakeholders as new technology solutions and enhancements are implemented.
  • Apply knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, maintain awareness of the competitive environment, and exhibit knowledge seeking and sharing best practices.
  • Provide oversight and hands-on project management for related technology initiatives.
  • Manage internal/external team members in executing the project management & software development lifecycles, driving adoption, and measuring the value / effectiveness of implemented systems & processes.
  • Ensure teams embrace Compliance, IT Security, SOX, data privacy, and other risk management considerations, and that they are embedded in projects and operations.
  • Work with the IT leaders and Commercial leads to manage the IT Commercial project portfolio, ensuring strategic alignment with organizational goals and effective prioritization of projects while sustaining the technology ecosystem for optimal execution.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required
  • 8 years of overall technology experience with at least 4 years supporting commercial business functions as an IT Commercial Business Partner required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of Commercial Pharma business processes and related technologies and data
  • Experience managing internal and external teams and building trusted relationships
  • Vendor management experience including vendor evaluation / selection, due diligence, contracting, and performance management.
  • Managed financials for projects and IT operations
  • Highly developed interpersonal, oral and written communications, presentation, negotiation, facilitation, and leadership skills with a commitment to internal/external customer responsiveness
  • Flexible and adaptable process-oriented work style; strong demonstrated work ethic that emphasizes customer focus, quality, and continuous improvement
  • Conceptual and analytical thinker; able to understand, analyze, and synthesize complex business and technology issues and strategies

Pay Transparency

The base pay range for this role is $155,000 per year to $213,000 per year. The range is what we reasonably expect to pay for this role. The range considers a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: geographic markets, business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience, training, licensure, and certifications.
