Position Overview:The Pack Consolidation Associate is responsible for the scanning of tray barcodes and consolidating of packaged orders by organizing and getting the MSC shipments from the conveyor, sorting to applicable baskets, and getting them to their MSC consolidation location. Once in the MSC consolidation location, the shipments are gathered, packaged, and prepared for shipping to DigiKey customers.

This is exclusively an essential onsite role, which will require onsite attendance.

Schedule: Monday - Friday. 5:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Responsibilities:
  • Process orders efficiently and accurately
  • Attach labels to sort to either the carrier baskets, carrier line, or directly out to the truck
  • Process invoices
  • Sort orders as they come in, verifying that the order is placed in the correct bin
  • Scan put away orders; follow device prompts to verify and place the order in the corresponding slot
  • Retrieve and scan orders from the shelves, place on a rack/cart
  • Scan orders and consolidate into master boxes and complete the shipping process by adding weights and dims (MSC)
  • Process orders and identify errors
  • Contact DigiKey partners to action the correction based on the error found; re-process once completed
  • Process suborders by verifying sub order number and scanning of those orders to consolidate into as few boxes aspossible
  • Perform other duties as assigned including but not limited to possible reallocation of efforts to other organizations perbusiness need and management request

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • High School or GED
  • Read, write, and communicate in English
  • Basic computer navigation and typing skills
  • Ability to actively participate as a team member to meet departmental goals
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task as well as the ability to change focus quickly based on requests byemployees/management
  • Able to solve problems quickly and efficiently
  • Dependable, responsible contributor committed to excellence and success
  • Adapt to changes in software and processes quickly, and accurately

Tools, Software, and Systems:

  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Pallet Jack
  • PIV Certified
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand, wrist and arm motion
  • Capable of spending 8-10 hours walking/standing on concrete
  • Regularly lift 35-50 lbs. boxes and occasionally lift up-to 50 lbs. with assistance required
  • Ability to twist or bend and occasionally climb stairs
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms above shoulder level
  • Use of pallet jack for up-to 60 lbs. lifts
  • Use of PIV equipment (stand on pallet jack, part mover, electric pallet jack, stand on Pallet jack and fork lift)
Compensation:

The starting base pay rate for this position is:

$18.00
