We are looking for a Maintenance Manager at our location in Smyrna, Tennessee. This role plans, directs, and coordinates activities concerned with design, construction, modification and maintenance of facilities, equipment, machinery, and tooling by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates. This role reports to the Plant Manager at the site. The team is ready to act immediately on those candidates who are the best fit for the role. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Provides direct supervision to maintenance personnel on three shifts. Responsibilities include hiring, performance management, training, corrective action, recognition, and discipline/discharge. * Establishes standards and policies for installation, modification, testing, operating procedure, inspection and maintenance of equipment such as the fire loop, AutoStore, conveyor systems, packaging cartoner equipment, pallet repair program, security systems, compressors, power distribution, HVAC, process water, argon system, plumbing, production equipment, fork truck fleet, grounds and general facilities. * Maintaining ideal and fixed assets. * Directs maintenance of plant buildings and coordinates requirements for new designs, surveys, and maintenance schedules for equipment and machinery. * Recommends capital expenditures; approve departmental expenses. Negotiates vendor contracts. Manages capital projects from planning through implementation. * Conducts annual updates of OSHA required training. Ensures renewal of all required inspections and licenses pertaining to the facilities. * Responsible for implementation of plant-wide preventive maintenance program; ensures compliance. Maintain data on equipment repairs and maintenance using data stream software. * Facilitate and participate in implementation of plant-wide initiatives including safety improvements, TPM, general housekeeping, 5S, Six Sigma, etc. * Review and approve work performed by outside contractors for the maintenance of facilities and equipment. Ensures contractor compliance with all company policies. * Act as a project manager as needed on certain projects as directed by the Plant Manager. Provide engineering technical support, analysis, and problem-solving skills to plant related issues as needed. * Ensures compliance with all state and federal regulations REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelors Degree in a related field * 5 Years Progressive Experience in Maintenance * 2-3 Years Experience in Supervision * Experience with mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic and preventative systems * Execution of Preventative Maintenance programs experience * Ability to establish and improve CMMS systems. * Establish maintenance measurement metrics and conduct regular reviews with the staff on maintenance performance. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Experience developing preventative maintenance programs from start to finish * Ability to develop tracking measures for maintenance tech performance * Demonstrated experience with managing maintenance tech performance * Experience in process and continuous improvement * Knowledge of inventory maintenance and development of critical parts list PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel.
