Overview

Element has an opportunity for a seasoned and visionary Division Director to lead our Inspection and Industrial Services division. This role is a senior leadership position with enterprise-wide impact, responsible for defining and executing long-term strategy, driving sustainable growth, and fostering a culture of collaboration and operational excellence across the division.

The Division Director will work closely with General Managers and key stakeholders to shape strategic direction, optimize capital investments, and elevate performance across safety, operations, customer engagement, and financial outcomes. The ideal candidate will bring deep industry experience, a proven track record of turnarounds or growth in complex operational environments, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams while building strong customer and commercial relationships.



Responsibilities

    Develop and execute long-range strategic plans aligned with corporate growth objectives
  • Translate group and sector goals into actionable strategies across the division
  • Championing a forward-thinking, customer-centric vision that drives innovation and differentiation
  • Drive business results through disciplined execution of operational plans and achievement of annual targets: revenue, profitability, working capital, investments, quality, and delivery
  • Lead growth-focused initiatives to expand the customer base, penetrate new markets, and increase share-of-wallet with key accounts
  • Oversee commercial strategies, pricing discipline, and high-level client engagement to ensure top-line acceleration
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts across safety, quality, delivery, and productivity
  • Embed a culture of performance accountability, with a strong emphasis on operational efficiency, resource utilization, and cost leadership
  • Ensure alignment of divisional operations with corporate policies, compliance requirements, and regulatory standards
  • Inspire and guide a high-performing leadership team across locations, driving a shared culture of safety, integrity, and excellence
  • Build internal alignment and collaboration across functions (SHE, QA, HR, Finance, Business Improvement)
  • Actively engage with peers across divisions to leverage synergies
  • Serve as a key representative of Element at industry associations, conferences, and customer forums
  • Stay ahead of emerging industry trends and incorporate insights into strategic planning and innovation efforts


Skills / Qualifications

  • BS degree in Engineering or Business. Masters degree is desirable
  • 15 years' of progressive leadership experience in the inspection, industrial services, or related sectors, with full P&L accountability
  • Demonstrated success in leading large-scale operations, developing high-impact business strategies, and driving cultural and financial turnarounds
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen with a deep understanding of capital-intensive businesses
  • Proven ability to lead through influence, build cross-functional collaboration, and inspire diverse teams to achieve stretch goals
  • Demonstrated experience of implementing operational excellence and lean production
  • Executive presence with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to travel at least 50%
  • Proficient in standard office software and computer systems (MS Windows, Work, Power Point, Excel)
