Overview

This is a remote role that may be hired in several markets across the United States.

Responsible for providing technical review to assess models and quantitative methodologies utilized to support business decisions for financial forecasting functions including capital planning and management, liquidity risk management, market risk and/or other forecasting functions to evaluate compliance with the relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies, standards and procedures. Responsible for gathering, organizing, and analyzing data using complex statistical techniques and tools, to ensure data quality, integrity and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and Bank policies that assist management with making informed business decisions. Serve as a subject matter expert and may mentor other staff members. Assess the conceptual soundness of models and quantitative methodologies used to support key business decisions and evaluate model implementation and production to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies, standards, and procedures. Gather, organize, and sort data to develop complex data models for the department, business unit staff, and other stakeholders. Access structured and unstructured systems across the organization, utilizing coding efforts where needed to meet testing requirements. Provide effective and timely communications on findings. Evaluate department strategies to develop and implement sound data analysis processes and results for staff, management, and other stakeholders. Analyze and produce timely reports for senior management and other stakeholders regarding risks, trends, patterns, and exceptions. Develop business intelligence/data visualization solutions that appropriately represent findings as needed. Assist senior management with compiling, preparing, and completing of committee presentations, annual audit plan, and risk assessments. Identify, prioritize, develop, document, and implement strategic-use cases to support data analysis outcomes, processes, and other requirements. Responsible for all components of project execution and stakeholder engagement. Provide support to the department and senior staff regarding technical inquiries serving as a subject matter expert.


Qualifications

Position requires a Master's degree in Math, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, or other related field plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience as a Model Developer, Model Validator, Model Risk Auditor, Quantitative Research Analyst, or a related occupation. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Ph.D. in Math, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, or other related field plus two (2) years of experience in the job offered or two (2) years of experience as a Model Developer, Model Validator, Model Risk Auditor, Quantitative Research Analyst, or a related occupation.

Position requires knowledge of key business areas and regulatory requirements, for example: business knowledge in ACL/CECL, Capital Stress Testing, liquidity stress testing, balance sheet management, or SR 11-7 knowledge of model risk. Requires spreadsheet and database knowledge, including Excel and Relational Database Management System (RDBM). Requires knowledge of qualitative and statistical models. Requires ability to analyze and visualize large sets of data. Requires technical proficiency in Tableau and TeamMate. Requires knowledge of programming languages including but not limited to SAS, SQL, Oracle, R, MATLAB, or Python. Requires proficiency in statistics and statistical packages or applications used to analyze data sets. This is a remote role that may be hired in several markets across the United States.

The base pay for this position is generally between $163,800 and $235,243 per year. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
