Overview

R&P is looking for a motivated, detail oriented professional who wants to join our team. We are a mid-sized defense contractor providing Engineering, Logistics, Program Management and Technical Services to government clients. We need a [JOB TITLE] ready to join a fast-paced and exciting work environment.



Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities for this position are to directly support the DDG 51 Shipbuilding Program Manager and Deputy Program Manager with the daily execution and administration of program operations. The position is seated in the Washington Navy Yard and requires an on-site presence during the five days per week, Monday to Friday, with a tailorable 8-hour workday between 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM

    Front Office Management Support: The contractor shall provide executive, analytical, management, and administrative support for the DDG 51 program office to include direct support to the Program Manager and Deputy Program Manager.
  • Maintain PM and DPM's Outlook calendars, maintain long-range events calendar, coordinate with internal and external offices to schedule meetings, obtain and deliver briefing materials, manage schedule changes, and create daily and weekly schedule read-ahead binders.
  • Maintain and deconflict schedules, facilitate meetings, escort guests, and manage correspondence.
  • Assist with edits and updates to briefings using PowerPoint.
  • Prepare and track visit requests using Excel, track yearly Fitreps for all assigned military personnel, order office supplies, submit facility requests, and ensure awards and plaques are completed for individuals leaving the command.
  • Provide meeting support using Teams.
  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of quarterly Ship Program Reviews (SPR) at each DDG 51 shipyard, to include coordination with Supervisor of Shipbuilding offices, shipbuilders, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain associated SPR documentation and briefs in support of the SPR process.
  • Take meeting minutes for front office meetings.
  • Answer the phone and maintain a phone log for the front office.
  • Maintain organizational rosters and work with supporting and supported organization to track changes.

Qualifications

Required

  • Active DoD Security Clearance
  • High proficiency with MS Office and calendar management
  • Associates Degree

Desired:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Familiarity with US Navy Correspondence requirements
  • Former Navy Yeoman CPO/PO1 or Admin rating
