Duties and Responsibilities |
- Supports research projects by planning and designing complex experiments and completing analysis.
- Assists research staff, physicians and/or investigator with various procedures and projects.
- Maintains knowledge of the research being conducted by all members of the lab and supervises lab personnel.
- Establishes and communicates performance expectations for members of the lab.
- Designs and executes experiments.
- Responsibility for duties of safety officer and radiation control officer for the lab.
- Supervises laboratory management and operation.
- Assist with writing scientific papers for publication in national and international peer reviewed journals.
- Contributes to the scholarly and scientific environment of the laboratory, department and the school through participation in journal clubs, seminars, departmental meetings, and lab meetings.
- Performs related duties as required. Preferred qualifications: Ability to follow oral and written instructions and established procedures.
- Ability to perform basic filing, office procedures and word processing.
- Ability to maintain accuracy and consistency.
