Description

Role: The Commercial Lending Operations Manager oversees the daily operations of commercial loan processing and servicing. The Commercial Lending Operations Manager ensures the commercial loan portfolio is comprehensively monitored and administered within approved policies, procedures, regulatory and compliance guidelines. Hybrid eligible must be in office 4 days per week including Mondays and Fridays.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manages new MBL and commercial loan workflow from approval and documentation to post-close quality assurance.
  • Monitors ongoing collateral perfection and protection ensuring environmental risk, insurance and real estate taxes are properly monitored via third party vendors and collateral issues are addressed timely.
  • Maintains tickler system to ensure portfolio is effectively managed and outstanding items are obtained.
  • Introduces and upholds effective reporting and assessment tools to proactively identify and minimize risks.
  • Develops and implements training surrounding updates in the regulatory and compliance guidelines/policies & procedures.
  • Maintains procedure database for the Commercial Lending department regarding procedures related to loan processing, loan servicing, and regulatory items.

Management Responsibilities

  • Supervises work of the Commercial Operations team.
  • Authorizes payment of invoices and other related accounting items such as balancing and reconciling.
  • Hires, onboards, develops, and manages performance of assigned staff.
  • Exercises independent judgement in the handling of performance management and employee relations issues in conjunction with legal requirements and organizational values
  • Provides counsel, leadership, and advice to others on the Commercial Lending team within areas of responsibility.

Other Duties

  • Comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control

Requirements

Experience/Education/Certifications/Licenses

  • High School degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 to 6 years related experience and a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent combination of skills and experience.
  • Experience managing a team preferred.

Demonstrated Knowledge

  • Ability to identify and mitigate risk.
  • Understanding of value-add credit structuring in a commercial lending environment.
  • Communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Planning, organizational, and analytical skills

Communication Skills

Ability to develop and implement responses to members/staff to document and develop new and ongoing techniques to improve processes; written communications draw from expert information from the field whether as an individual contributor or manager.

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit and stand; answer calls; operate computer; interact with internal staff and public on the phone; travel to designated offices; lift up to 20 lbs

We are committed to providing salary ranges for all open positions. Please note that the specific compensation for this role will be determined based on your experience, qualifications, location, and internal equity considerations.

The salary range for this position is: $89,150 - $133,725. This range reflects the base salary for this position. We have other benefits associated with this position which include: low-cost medical (as low as $20 a paycheck), dental insurance, vision insurance, quarterly bonuses, generous vacation and sick time hours, paid leave options, up to 6% 401k contribution, and tuition reimbursement.
