Description
Team member is responsible for high speed IT by leveraging automation, scripting, and multiple toolsets that have a high ROI and bring value to the overall business. Members support the planning, installation, automation, and improvement of all systems and services across multiple environments and data centers. Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing containerized applications on AWS using Kubernetes (EKS). Engineer will build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automate deployment processes, and ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of systems. Engineer will also work with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and collaborate with development and operations teams to make incremental improvements and provide a scalable and highly available platform for application delivery.
Job Responsibilities
  • Responsible for building automation of applications and delivery of a consistent and streamlined platform across all environments. Team member is responsible for implimenting and provisioning AWS infrastructure (EC2, S3, VPC, etc.) and EKS clusters using IaC tools like Terraform. Team member will help build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines for application deployment, often using tools like Jenkins, BitBucket, env0, and other provisioning and deployment tools.
  • Responsible for automation and streamlining of all operations and processes. Automating infrastructure provisioning, application deployment, and other operational tasks.
  • Members will work in conjunction with manager and team members to develop tools and applications that allow eMoney to efficiently scale and deliver compute, network, and application services. Working with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS) to containerize applications and manage containerized workloads. Implementing and managing monitoring and logging solutions (e.g., CloudWatch, Solarwinds, Dynatrace) to ensure system health and performance.
  • Members will collaborate with Development and Product Teams to design and build highly available and scalable applications and services on-prem and within AWS. Members will be responsible for deploying, monitoring, and administering applications and underlying services on all eMoney infrastructure platforms. Team member will ensure the security of systems and applications by implementing security best practices, IAM policies, and other security measures.
  • Members are responsible for supporting a highly available production infrastructure environment and support infrastructure throughput software life-cycle while collaborating with Development and other internal business partners to deliver a highly scalable and available application.
Requirements
  • 4 year bachelor's degree preferred
  • 7-10 years of relevant work experience
Skills (Software, Soft Skills, KSAs)
  • Strong understanding AWS and key services, including EKS,EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, and Security Groups. Strong understanding of of networking and concepts, troubleshooting, and working in fast paced and ever changing environments.
  • Strong written and verbal skills as well as being able to support multiple projects and workload simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in a highly available 24x7x365 Production environment.
  • Leveraging multiple tools to support environment across life cycle. Supporting and implementing systems and perf monitoring, APM's, automation tools, software delivery tools, and Development support tools.
  • Strong working knowledge of automation and configuration management using tools such as Octopus Deploy, Terraform, Jenkins.
The salary range for this position is $123,000 - $158,000; commensurate salary to be determined based on skills, professional background and expertise. This position is also eligible, pursuant to applicable eMoney policies, for the annual bonus program, retirement contributions, health insurance, sick leave, parental leave and paid time off.
