HOPE 4 Youth is a nonprofit organization firmly rooted in the goal of ending youth homelessness. Our mission is to provide pathways to end youth homelessness. Our vision is to ensure all youth feel safe, valued, and supported while reaching their full potential. This begins with meeting their basic needs and leads to giving them the tools to thrive. HOPE 4 Youth provides a safe place for youth to access basic needs support, educational and employment programs and opportunities, and transitional housing options. Wages & Benefits

$22 - $24 per hour; Generous paid time off (PTO) policies, plus eight paid holidays and two floating holidays; competitive health, dental, and vision insurance. There is employer paid basic life insurance with the option for additional coverage paid by the employee. The employer pays for Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) and short- and long-term disability insurance. H4Y sponsors a retirement plan with a 3% employer match and immediate vesting.

Schedule

This in-office position follows regular business hours and will sometimes require evening and weekend availability for community outreach events; reliable transportation is necessary. This is not a remote role.

A Typical Day in the Life...

A typical day as HOPE 4 Youth's involves providing compassionate, client-centered support and case management to youth experiencing homelessness, connecting them to resources and services through community outreach and individualized, trauma-informed care. Responsibilities will include the following:



  • Provide individualized case management to youth, supporting their goals toward sustainable housing.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services and progress.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment, especially for LGBTQI+ youth and youth from racially and culturally diverse backgrounds.
  • Assist in tracking outreach program metrics and maintaining relevant data.
  • Build and sustain partnerships with schools, community organizations, and local businesses.
  • Represent the organization at community and school outreach events, including some evenings and/or weekends.


Who You Are



  • You have a high school diploma or GED.
  • You bring at least 3 years of professional or lived experience supporting youth or vulnerable populations.
  • You have experience working with at-risk or homeless youth ages 16-24 (preferred).
  • You thrive in a diverse, mission-driven environment and are committed to equity, inclusion, and respect for all backgrounds-across race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, nationality, and religion.
  • You have a strong understanding of crisis intervention and supportive programming.
  • You're proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel and can produce clear, professional reports.
  • You're responsive, adaptable, and enjoy working with a variety of personalities.
  • You value collaboration and bring positive energy to a motivated, team-based setting.
  • You have a valid driver's license, access to reliable transportation, and the ability to meet H4Y's driving record requirements. Please note that if the license was not issued in the state of Minnesota, you have 60 days after becoming a Minnesota resident in which to apply for your Minnesota driver's license or permit.
