Senior Manager, Talent Management and Organization Development
Job Summary:
Lead and execute enterprise-wide talent management and organization development strategies with a strong emphasis on implementing and optimizing the Workday Talent platform and integrating organizational psychology principles into core talent practices. This role will directly support building a high-performing, future-ready workforce through evidence-based talent planning, succession management, performance development, and organizational effectiveness initiatives. The Senior Manager will also serve as a subject matter expert in psychometric instruments, change management and team effectiveness, partnering closely with HR Business Partners to diagnose team challenges, design interventions, and facilitate to improve performance. This is a high-impact opportunity to shape the associate experience and elevate talent decisions grounded in data and behavioral science. The role will also explore and apply responsible use of artificial intelligence (AI) in talent processes, from data analytics to predictive modeling, to enhance decision-making and workforce planning.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Lead internal and cross-functional project teams supporting Workday Talent implementation and organization development workstreams. Oversee vendors and consultants providing psychometric assessments and development tools, ensuring alignment with internal standards and talent strategy Coach HRBPs and people leaders in interpreting assessment and team effectiveness data to drive meaningful development and performance outcomes. Provide feedback, mentorship, and direction to team contributors and ensure high-quality, timely execution of projects and programs.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Serve as the functional lead for the implementation and continuous improvement of Workday Talent modules, including Performance, Talent Reviews, Succession Planning, and Development Planning. Design and implement scalable talent management frameworks that align with business strategy and support leadership pipeline development. Oversee administration and interpretation of psychometric assessments (e.g., personality, cognitive, leadership potential) for use in succession planning, high-potential programs, and individual development. Act as a team effectiveness SME, working with HRBPs and business leaders to assess team dynamics, diagnose root causes of dysfunction, and deploy targeted interventions (e.g., team assessments, workshops, offsites, or facilitation). Integrate team and individual assessment insights into broader talent planning and leadership development processes. Support and guide the organization through change management, communication, and training efforts that enable adoption of new talent systems and programs. Leverage analytics and dashboards within Workday and other tools to surface insights, inform workforce strategy, and measure program impact. Collaborate with key stakeholders across HR, business units, and external vendors to ensure alignment of OD initiatives and talent priorities. Stay current on trends and innovations in organizational psychology, talent technology, team effectiveness and use of AI within Talent & OD
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong foundation in organizational psychology and expertise in applying behavioral science to individual, team, and organizational development. Deep experience with psychometric assessments and ability to interpret and apply results in a business-relevant way. Demonstrated success in driving team effectiveness initiatives and facilitating team-based interventions in partnership with HRBPs or senior leaders. Experience with Enterprise-wide Talent module implementation or administration (Performance, Talent Assessment, Succession Planning, Development Planning). Exceptional communication and facilitation skills, especially when working with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams. Strong analytical and data interpretation skills; able to translate talent and assessment data into actionable insights. Organized, proactive, and skilled at managing complex projects and influencing without authority. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with assessment platforms, data dashboards, and collaboration tools is a plus.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development, Human Resources, or related field required; Master's or PhD in I/O Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Organization Development strongly preferred. 10+ years of progressive experience in talent management, organizational development, or applied organizational psychology. Hands-on experience implementing and optimizing Workday Talent and Performance modules. Significant experience with team assessments, team diagnostics, and facilitating team interventions. Previous work in a complex, matrixed, or global organization is highly preferred.
Bonus Qualifications:
Workday experience leading a full-cycle Workday Talent implementation. Certification or advanced knowledge in psychometric tools (e.g., Hogan, Korn Ferry, Predictive Index, etc. ). Training in coaching and group facilitation methodologies.
