Position Summary

The Associate Chief of Clinical Perfusion at PHI is responsible for the day-to-day supervision and coordination of Perfusion Services by supporting the Chief of Clinical Perfusion with the management of patient care, staffing, personnel and fiscal activities. This position assists in planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating perfusion services, performance improvement activities, and hospital-wide planning and regulatory compliance activities. The ACCP exercises authority over those associated with providing perfusion services and has the authority to speak on behalf of perfusion to the same extent that other hospital leaders speak for their respective disciplines or departments. The Associate Chief will report directly to the Chief of Clinical Perfusion. The position will require 60% administrative duties and 40% clinical duties, which may be flexible as determined by programmatic needs. Hospital-based leaders may have a dual matrixed reporting structure.

Requirements


  • Graduate of an accredited Perfusion Training Program. Minimum Bachelor's degree in Perfusion Science
  • Clinical experience as specified by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion Technology. Certification by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion
  • Current Cardiovascular Perfusion Certification (CCP) with the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP) - renewed annually
  • Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider Certification
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Cardiovascular Perfusionist to thoroughly understand the complexities of the job and be able to develop effective training programs
  • Experience with complex adult and pediatric procedures, clinical education, leadership, and ECMO preferred
  • Five (5) years of experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity
  • Previous experience with EPIC is preferred

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $161,491.00 - $232,378.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
