Position Overview

We are looking for a Construction Inspector to join our growing team and contribute to the successful delivery of civil and environmental infrastructure projects. Our work spans all phases of the project lifecycle, and this role is focused on field-based construction oversight-with opportunities to grow into construction management, operations support, and environmental monitoring.

Responsibilities


  • Inspect ongoing construction activities to ensure compliance with design plans, specifications, and applicable standards



  • Oversee construction of:




    • Site development features (grading, drainage, utilities, pavement, concrete)



    • Stormwater management systems



    • Water and wastewater infrastructure



    • Landfill cells and closure systems (geomembranes, geocomposites, geotextiles, compacted clay liners)





  • Maintain accurate daily reports, field logs, and photographic documentation of work progress



  • Work collaboratively with internal teams, owners, and contractors to identify and address construction deficiencies



  • Participate in construction progress meetings and provide timely status updates



  • Assist with communication between contractors, clients, and regulatory agencies



  • Support the project team with field engineering tasks or environmental monitoring, as needed




Required Qualifications


  • High School Diploma/GED or Associate/Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering, or a related field



  • 4+ years of experience in civil/environmental construction inspection



  • Experience in materials testing, utility installation, reinforced concrete, drainage systems, pavement, and geosynthetics is preferred



  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications



  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Teams; able to operate a laptop in the field



  • Physically able to stand and walk on uneven terrain at active construction sites for extended periods




Note: This position requires specific driving duties. You must be able to pass a motor vehicle records check required by our insurer.

Pay Range
$52,000 $83,200 USD

The EA pay range for this position is intended as a general guideline and does not guarantee specific compensation or salary. Factors considered when making an offer include job responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, alignment with market data, and compliance with federal and state laws.
