Job Summary:

The People & Culture Intern supports the People & Culture team in delivering a variety of human resources functions and projects. This position is ideal for individuals seeking hands-on experience in human resources within a dynamic, professional environment.

Job Duties:



  • Performs all assigned tasks accurately, efficiently and in accordance with applicable policies and procedures
  • Works closely with members of assigned team to develop subject matter knowledge
  • Provides answers to employee questions and solves problems, as needed
  • Works to gain a basic understanding of the various areas of People and Culture
  • Assists assigned team with updating system records according to established procedures
  • Researches and answers employees' calls, chats and online inquiry submissions concerning People and Culture topics, as needed
  • Provides support for onboarding and offboarding employees, as needed
  • Assists on tasks and projects of a confidential nature
  • Assists the team in supporting people & culture related initiatives which drive employee engagement
  • Assists in identifying potential areas for improvement in processes and creates/implements solutions
  • Coordinates meeting logistics and prepares agendas and presentation materials
  • Other duties as required


Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Education:



  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree, required; focus in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Business Administration, or Communication, preferred


Experience:



  • Previous internship or work experience in an office environment, preferred


Software:



  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, required
  • Experience with HRIS systems or HCM cloud software, preferred

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrates attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Eagerness to learn and take initiative
  • Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environment

  • Capable of maintaining confidential information and matters with discretion
  • Ability to successfully evaluate issues and escalate to a higher level or other resource, as appropriate
  • Strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of standard human resources processes
  • Ability to deliver presentations and facilitate meetings/training sessions
