HDR's international Internal Audit team is seeking a driven, independent, and professional individual who will help us in performance of IT, operational, accounting / financial, and compliance audits across HDR's global operations. HDR's global footprint enables opportunity to engage with colleagues and work on audit projects around the world. This role is based in the United States and reports to the Senior Internal Auditor. As an internal auditor, you will work with talented employees across different organizations providing a unique view of the whole company. With an assistance of other talented audit team members, you will learn processes, identify key risks, assess controls, perform data analytics and financial analysis, examine system reports, analyze policies and procedures, and be an integral part of formulating improvement recommendations to management.

Candidates should demonstrate passion toward the profession, have confidence to productively challenge and question existing processes, and have the drive necessary to continuously improve the function. Excellent communication skills are necessary and a willingness partner with other HDR Internal Audit professionals across various international time zones.

Travel requirements are approximately 20%. Travel includes international destinations with duration generally not exceeding a work week.


Preferred Qualifications

  • 0-3 years of experience in audit/IT audit/accounting/finance preferred but not required.
  • Professional designation, such as CPA (ACCA/CA), CIA, CFE, CISA, CISSP, or CISM preferred but not required.
  • Strong analytical skills, including knowledge of SQL, Power BI or Tableu, desired.
  • Fundamental understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and generally accepted auditing standards desired.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Basic knowledge of IT topics such as firewalls, networks, vulnerability management, role-based access, with experience in IT Security compliance, IT systems audits or relevant functions desired.
  • Preference given to local candidates.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • This individual should have a basic level of analyzing business functions, assessing risk, and tailoring the nature, extent and timing of audit procedures accordingly
