Job Summary
This position is responsible for the retention of designated accounts by delivering prompt, accurate and high-quality customer service. In our high-paced environment, there will also be plenty ofopportunities to sell additional coverage to your existing customers as well as to write new business. Essential Skills
- A comprehensive understanding of Commercial Insurance products and coverage.
- The ability to promptly provide accurate answers to customer and carrier inquiries.
- The ability to work independently and express excellent judgment in identifying and resolving coverage issues.
- Adherence to agency procedures for selling, servicing, and processing.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage an assigned book of business with a focus on retention and increased client profitability through cross-selling other products and services.
- Meet with existing and prospective customers.
- Quote and issue new business.
- Thoroughly and carefully process customer transactions as they are received in order to minimize exposure to Errors & Omissions.
- Document all interactions and transactions pertaining to customers.
- Comply with all office policies, standards, and procedures.
- Be proficient in Agency Management System, carrier rating systems and other resources provided by agency.
- Any other duties as assigned by management.
Minimal Requirements
- At least three years of Commercial Insurance CSR/Account Management experience.
- Experience with Agency Management System (Applied EPIC preferred).
- Valid NYS driver's license.
- Ability to travel to and work out of additional locations upon request.
- Valid NYS P&C license.
