Are you a dynamic and driven professional with experience promoting growth and building relationships? Join our team as a Business Development Executive and become the lead field contact for our assigned agents, driving profitable growth and expanding our business footprint. In this important role, you will collaborate with both existing independent agencies and lead the development of new business opportunities. Reporting directly to the Director of Regional Sales, you will have the autonomy to work remotely from your home in Minnesota while also engaging in fieldwork to build and nurture important relationships. Primary Accountabilities:

You will prospect and appoint agents together with the regional strategy for expansion of distribution outlets.
You will use market analytics to assess geographic territory to identify prospect and current customers with highest growth potential.
You will appoint new customers.
You will pinpoint competitors within the assigned agency plant who are vulnerable, allowing you to maximize opportunities for book roll or book thinning.
You will build detailed business plans for assigned agents.
You will determine appropriate visitation and establish an agreed to contact schedule for assigned agents based on book transfer and flow opportunities.
You will use your knowledge of the territory and region, including insights into agencies, competitors, demographics, and economic trends.

Specialized Knowledge & Skill Requirements:

Knowledge of the territory and the region including insurance agency competitor demographics and economic trends.
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of business process improvement methodologies and techniques.
Demonstrated successful track record in building relationships and selling.

Additional Experience:
5+ years commercial and/or personal lines insurance sales experience.

In this remote role you will work from your home in and travel within the state.

Position Compensation Range:

$97,000.00 - $164,000.00

Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.
