About the Role

Record to Report, Senior Analyst, Account Reconciliations supports the review of reconciliation transactions to ensure compliance of internal controls. Reviews reconciliation data processes for accuracy and provides guidance on process guidelines. Supports the process management by ensuring end-to-end processes are being met for credible data and reporting.

Reports to the Manager, Account Reconciliations and Month End Close and leads the review of reconciliation and governance guidelines within Finance.

What You'll Do

* Responsible for supporting the review of reconciliation transactions and ensuring proper compliance of internal controls.

* Maintain internal controls and delegation of authority for finance.

* Review balance sheet and income statement and provide QA to support the credibility of the process and provide governance.

* Review processes and governance guidelines and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley, SEC and IFRS requirements.

* Maintain alignment on governance processes and provide data and feedback to Controls and Process Excellence to maintain alignment.

* Collect documentation to support the Reconciliation QA and Governance processes.

* Review and maintain financial records for policy and procedure standards.

* Identify risks and issues concerning reconciliation or accrual processes and assist in developing remediation plans.

* Assemble and review supporting documentation to ensure compliance with audits.

What You'll Need

* Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA and/or CPA is highly preferred

* 5+ years of relevant accounting experience

* Strong process improvement background.

* Previous utility experience preferred, but not essential

* Demonstrated ability to document governance processes and identify risks

* Experience managing competing priorities while maintaining compliance

* Reconciliation process

* Governance review

* Data collection

* US GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley, SEC regulations and IFRS

* Process management

* Close processes

* Utility industry accounting

* Bachelor's Degree preferred with a minimum of 5 years' experience in Accounting roles with process review with increasing responsibility

* The ability to provide QA and governance processes support

* Demonstrated ability to document governance processes and identify risks

* Experience managing competing priorities while maintaining compliance

* The ability to work cross-functionally on finance processes

* Background in utility service business activities and projects

* Excellent written / oral communication skills, follow-up, and negotiation skills

* Experience with SAP and Codeblock

Annual Salary

$97,000-$114,000

This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills.
