We're looking for someone with solid experience understanding accounting processes and workflows, paired with genuine curiosity about enhancing them through AI innovation.

We're seeking someone who can engage confidently with senior leaders at accounting firms, translating deep accounting knowledge into practical AI applications that drive real business value. Your passion for process improvement and AI innovation will be key to helping our clients transform their practices.

About the Role

  • Book of Business Management: Combine accounting industry knowledge with CoCounsel product expertise to drive measurable outcomes for assigned firm accounts, while collaborating cross-functionally to identify expansion opportunities and manage retention strategies

  • Adoption Analytics & Optimization: Analyze product usage patterns and data to identify optimization opportunities, becoming proficient in recognizing areas where firms can maximize their CoCounsel investment and drive increased utilization

  • Executive Stakeholder Relationships: Build and nurture relationships with key executive stakeholders at accounting firms, serving as their primary point of contact and trusted resource for CoCounsel-related initiatives

  • Issue Resolution: Proactively identify and resolve client challenges, coordinating with internal teams to ensure swift problem-solving and maintain high levels of client satisfaction

  • AI Use Case Identification: Leverage accounting process knowledge to identify and articulate specific AI use case opportunities for CoCounsel applications within audit, tax, and advisory workflows

  • Growth Opportunity Identification: Monitor account health and usage patterns to recognize expansion opportunities, working closely with sales teams to drive account growth and deeper platform adoption

  • Strategic Business Reviews: Conduct regular business reviews with clients to assess progress, share insights, and align on strategic objectives that maximize CoCounsel value delivery

  • Product Expertise & Collaboration: Develop deep expertise in CoCounsel capabilities while working closely with product teams to relay client feedback, suggest improvements, and stay current on new features and enhancements

About You

  • Accounting Process Foundation: Minimum 3+ years in public accounting (audit or tax) or corporate accounting with solid understanding of accounting workflows, tax guidance, and financial processes

  • AI Enhancement Curiosity: Genuine interest in using AI to improve accounting processes, with regular AI tool usage and ability to identify practical applications for workflow optimization

  • Client Leadership Capability: Ability to engage confidently with senior leaders at accounting firms and facilitate strategic conversations about process improvement

  • Process Analysis Skills: Capability to understand accounting workflows and translate them into specific AI use case opportunities for firm operations

  • SaaS Familiarity: Experience with software-as-a-service platforms and understanding of typical implementation challenges

  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities with talent for explaining complex concepts clearly

  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot issues and find creative solutions for client challenges

  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable learning new technologies and helping others adopt digital solutions

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The target total cash compensation range varies across locations.
Eligible office location(s) for this role include one or more of the following: New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and/or Irvine, CA; McLean, VA; Washington, DC. The target total cash compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $88,690 - $164,710.
This is inclusive of both base pay and any target sales incentive.
Pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay and any target sales incentive are part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
