As a Technician III, Facilities Engineering, supporting our Technician Manufacturing Team, you will be trusted to support engineers in the design, modification, and improvement of products/processes at our Manufacturing Facility in Houston, TX.

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Identifying and recommending improvements and preventive actions.

  • Inspecting, testing, maintaining, repairing, monitoring, installing, and coordinating installation services on equipment and systems (MEP).

  • Monitoring processes, estimating costs, making or verifying calculations, and analyzing and interpreting data and drawings.

  • Monitoring and troubleshooting building faults.

  • Testing new and modified products, processes, and/or systems.

  • Training, transferring knowledge, and providing guidance and support to others.

  • Be the point of contact and initial resource for the shift.

  • Maintaining and repairing machines and equipment.

  • Performing Preventive Maintenance.

  • Supporting Facilities Group activities (shutdowns, capital projects, continuous improvements, and PIT teams).

  • Documenting work accurately per company and regulatory policies (within Maximo, on test scripts/protocols, etc.).

  • Communicating effectively and professionally with other team members, production personnel, contractors, and suppliers.

  • Aligning with all safety, environmental and CGMP requirements.

  • Ensuring the quality and environmentally compliant operation of critical utilities to include, but not limited to, the deionized purified water system, the clean compressed air system, boilers, chillers, and the HVAC systems.

What You'll Bring to Alcon:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English

  • Work Hours: 2nd Shift (8 hours): Monday to Friday, 9:00 PM - 5:30 AM CST

  • Location: Onsite

  • Travel Requirements:0 - 10%
