Job Summary This position will perform category management around the identification, development, and execution of the sourcing and procurement for Clinical Platforms category. Key areas of focus will include needs analysis, sourcing options, decision support, negotiation support and contract oversight. Additional focus includes cost reduction strategies, category strategies, supplier risk mitigation, and management. Business relationship development and management will be critical to the role to better align business objectives and procurement outcomes. This position will assist in in leveraging market research and performing total cost analyses to support decision making. This role will be focused on Medical Record Retrieval and Electronic Record Retrieval and Health Data Exchange sub-category.

This position is expected to excel in a high-performing procurement team in a highly matrixed, fast-paced environment, responsible for providing thought leadership and oversight on complex categories of spend. This position will perform duties associated with category management including category definition, market intelligence, and development of supplier roadmaps and negotiation strategies. Fosters partnerships with suppliers and critical business stakeholders. This position will also be responsible for escalations pertaining to the facilitation of requirements, and contract drafting and negotiations.

Required Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years progressive experience in procurement, supplier management, category management
  • Proficient at MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Strategic and innovative thinker able to influence and advise the business areas
  • Strong executive presence with outstanding interpersonal, verbal, written communication, and presentation skills
  • Critical thinking, analytical skills and business acumen
  • Conflict resolution skills
  • Consistent thought leadership

Preferred Job Qualifications:

  • Management or team supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of e-Procurement systems and tools; experience utilizing Procure-to-Pay and Contracting modules or similar procurement systems
  • MBA, Masters Degree.
  • Knowledge of HCSC organization.
  • Knowledge of Health Insurance industry

This is a Flex (Hybrid) role: 3 days in office; 2 days work from home.

The compensation offered will vary depending on your job-related skills, education, knowledge, and experience. This role aligns with an annual incentive bonus plansubject to the terms and the conditions of the plan.
