Hartgrove Behavioral Health System consists of a 160-bed leading psychiatric hospital dedicated to providing quality behavioral health services for a diverse population of all ages. Hartgrove is a flagship behavioral health facility within Universal Health Services, Inc. and throughout Illinois. Hartgrove is a state-of-the-art facility offering some of the most advanced technologies and programs found in the behavioral health field. We are dedicated to our teamwork approach and provide a highly compassionate and therapeutic environment, as well as offering a continuum of specialty programs throughout our inpatient, partial and outpatient services.

Garfield Park Behavioral Hospital provides inpatient psychiatric and partial hospitalization treatment for children and adolescents, ages 3 to 17. We strive to provide compassionate care to every patient we serve.

Hartgrove Behavioral Health System and Garfield Park Behavioral Hospital are seeking a savy and driven business professional and an exceptional leader for the Business Development/Community Relations Team. Join our executive leadership team as Group Director of Business Development!

JOB SUMMARY: As the Director of Business Development you will report directly to the CEO and assume 24/7 responsibility for the Community Relations Department. As Director you are responsible for:

  • the activities of and providing leadership and direction to the Community Relations Staff;
  • the development, implementation and evaluation of the Hospital's marketing strategy;
  • interacting with all departments to coordinate participation in the Community Relations Program and maintaining knowledge of Hospital programs and operations;
  • networking with the community;
  • developing and maintaining Community Relations policies and procedures.

Qualifications

JOB SPECIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate competency in the criteria listed in this job description. The specifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability to meet the minimum requirements for this position.

Education: Master's Degree in a clinical or related field strongly preferred. Bachelor's degree required.

Experience: Proven track record in business development/community relations with 5 - 10 years senior level leadership experience within a large organization, preferably including inpatient and outpatient behavioral health and substance abuse. Clinical or administrative experience in psychiatric/hospital setting preferred.

Licensure/Certification: Clinical licensure (LCSW/LCPC/LSW/LCP) strongly preferred. Must have valid drivers license and proof of insurance.

Knowledge: Extensive understanding of marketing concepts and data analytics, knowledge of behavioral health and treatments, as well as strong account development and management skills. Must have strong leadership and team building ability, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and good organizational skills.
