Job Title: Centralized Support Specialist I
Job Description As an Inbound Healthcare Contact Center Representative, you will manage phone and message inquiries from patients and those involved in their care as they navigate a complex healthcare system. Your role will encompass needs tied to insurance, billing inquiries, and appointment management. You will collaborate with providers and other operations team members to complete urgent tasks, ensuring a positive virtual experience using a technology suite including Slack, Google Suite, Zoom, and our Electronic Medical Record System. Responsibilities * Manage phone and message inquiries from patients regarding insurance, billing inquiries, and appointment management. * Navigate healthcare systems, including medical records, authorizations, referrals, and coordinate care with pharmacies, testing laboratories, specialists, and insurance. * Collaborate with providers and operations team members to complete urgent tasks. * Use C-I-CARE framework for effective communication and positive patient interactions. * Contribute to team development through rounding, attending team huddles, and supporting in-office providers. * Interact with team members and patients using Slack, Google Suite, Zoom, and Electronic Medical Record System to complete daily work. Essential Skills * Minimum 1 year of high-volume contact center experience and 1 additional year of direct customer service experience or 2 years of high-touch, patient-facing healthcare service roles. * Strong written and verbal communication skills, including impeccable phone manners. * Strong multitasking skills with proficiency in computers and phones while navigating multiple software systems. * Customer service, medical terminology, medical billing, medical claim, insurance verification, EOB, ERB, medical records, prior authorization. Additional Skills & Qualifications * Experience within the last 4 years. * Average of 1 year of tenure. * Schedule appointments. Why Work Here? The focus is on customer service and HIPAA compliance. Training is classroom style and fast-paced, requiring proactive engagement. The role is 100% in-office with shifts primarily between 6am-6pm. Training requires 100% attendance Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm for 5 weeks. Available schedules include Mon-Fri, Tues-Sat, or Sun-Thurs with a requirement to work at least one weekend day. A shift bid will determine your official schedule. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tempe, Arizona. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.25 - $19.25/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
