Genesis10 is currently seeking a Software Developer II for a 6 month contract to hire role with our client in the healthcare industry in Eagan, MN. This role is 100% remote.
Summary:
Purpose The Software Engineer IT is responsible for developing, testing, deploying and maintaining technology solutions. This position analyzes, designs and develops tests and test-automation. This position collaborates cross-functionally with team members to achieve innovative, business-driven technology solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain technology solutions and ensure solutions meet non-functional requirements; assist with solution design
- Analyze, design and develop tests and test-automation suites
- Use test driven development in an agile environment
- Leverage and contribute components for the continuous integration and continuous deployment pipeline for technology solutions
- Collaborate cross-functionally with team members to achieve innovative, business-results driven technology solutions
- Consistently apply best practices and drive for continuous improvement
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
- 2 years of experience with application development or packaged software implementations
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

- Understanding of security implications of domain
- One of 8 developers on a scrum team. We work in two-week sprints (Wed-Tues) with the normal set of sprint meetings Daily Stand-Up (DSU), sprint planning, sprint retros, etc.
- 2 years experience required
Skills and experiences needed:
- SQL, Application Programming Interface, Collaboration, Custom Developer Applications, Microsoft Office, Java Script, XML, HTML, Servlets
- Great candidate qualities/what would make someone stand out: Familiarity with Scrum/Agile, a team player, proactive, collaborator, not afraid of asking questions, no ego.
- Relevant skills/competencies that make someone successful: Experience in web application development, full-stack (front-end and back-end development)
Minimum Physical Job Requirements
- Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and shifts outside of client's core business hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. as needed for technical support and/or project needs
- Constantly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, talk and hear
- Frequently required to reach with hands and arms
- Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, and crouch
- Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

Compensation:
Hourly W2 pay rate $50.00 to $55.00/Hr.
