About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Solution Engineering Leader to lead a team of demo engineers and Health and Life Sciences (HLS) industry experts in building and delivering innovative, high-impact solution demonstrations for our Solution Engineering field teams. This role is critical in driving technical excellence, fostering collaboration, and delivering cutting-edge demos that showcase our solutions to healthcare and life sciences clients. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise, strategic leadership, and a passion for solving complex challenges in the HLS industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of demo engineers and HLS industry experts to achieve high performance, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. The leader will work with their team and business partners to define and prioritize the demo roadmap, deliver Quarterly Business Reviews, define and report on success metrics like demo adoption, understand the Salesforce and Health and Life Sciences Clouds product roadmaps to incorporate new release features into demo stories and assets three times a year.

  • Solution Demo Development and Support: Oversee the design, development, and delivery of compelling, client-focused demonstrations that align with HLS business needs, leveraging Salesforce technology and other relevant platforms. Additionally, lead the team to develop and provide demo documentation, demo/asset enablement and technical support to Solution Engineers.

  • Technical Strategy and Architecture: Provide oversight for the strategic guidance on solution architectures, ensuring demos are scalable, secure, and aligned with industry best practices and client requirements.

  • Environment Management: Manage and optimize demo environments, ensuring seamless integration, performance, and reliability for solution demonstrations.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with product management, sales, and engineering teams to align demo development with business objectives and client expectations.

  • Industry Expertise: Apply deep knowledge of the HLS industry to tailor demos that address specific pain points, regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR), and business outcomes in healthcare and life sciences.

  • Problem Solving: Proactively identify and creatively resolve technical and operational challenges to ensure successful demo delivery and client satisfaction.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor to internal teams and clients, presenting solutions with clarity, confidence, and a positive attitude.

Required Skills and Qualifications -

Technical Skills

  • DevOps Proficiency: Strong understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure) to support scalable demo environments.

  • Salesforce Expertise: Extensive experience with Salesforce technology, including configuration, customization, and integration, to build demos that showcase platform capabilities for HLS use cases.

  • HLS Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the healthcare and life sciences business, including clinical workflows, payer-provider dynamics, regulatory compliance, and digital transformation trends.

  • Implementation Experience: Proven track record of leading successful technology implementations, preferably in the HLS sector, with expertise in managing complex projects and environments.

  • Architecture Acumen: Strong grasp of solution architectures, including microservices, APIs, and data integration, to design robust and flexible demo solutions.

Leadership and Soft Skills

  • High-Performance Leadership: Demonstrated experience leading and motivating diverse technical teams to achieve exceptional results, with a focus on fostering innovation and accountability.

  • Diplomatic Collaboration: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build strong relationships with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders in a matrixed organization.

  • Positive Attitude and Outlook: A proactive, optimistic approach to leadership, inspiring teams and clients with enthusiasm and a solutions-oriented mindset.

  • Proactivity and Creativity: Ability to anticipate challenges and devise innovative solutions to complex technical and business problems in the HLS domain.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in solution engineering, technical leadership, or a related role in the HLS industry.

  • 3+ years of experience managing high-performing technical teams.

  • Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Technical Architect, Salesforce Health Cloud Accredited Professional) are a plus.

  • Experience with agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) for project management and team collaboration.

  • Familiarity with emerging technologies in HLS, such as AI-driven analytics, telehealth platforms, or interoperability standards (e.g., FHIR).
