Salesforce Technical Lead and Solution Architect

Job Description:

Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, business-area resources, cross-functional technology staff, and enterprise architects to design, implement, and maintain solutions for a worldwide user base on the CAS Salesforce platform and across the ecosystem of integrated business applications. Provide technical leadership to establish, execute on, maintain, and evolve CAS' Salesforce environment and innovative roadmap. Assure Salesforce ecosystem alignment with evolving application and data architecture, encompassing SAP ECC, Oracle Eloqua, and other integrated solutions. Lead business and technical colleagues in designing and developing robust technical solutions per the company's evolving business strategies and expanding product portfolio. Apply expertise to drive solution architecture and related data architecture across the Salesforce platform and extended ecosystem. Assume technical accountability for the integrated data and solution architecture, engaging in and orchestrating techno-functional solution design and full solution implementation. Work with product owners, business area resources, and technical colleagues to implement and support the Salesforce infrastructure and the configured and integrated applications on the Salesforce platform, ensuring data and system integrity with proper security controls. Coordinate and lead daily team efforts across a range of business priorities, including production support and maintenance, routine enhancements, solution investigations, and project-level initiatives. Oversee the current-state Salesforce Classic platform with Lightning components and integrated applications; in parallel, provide technical leadership for the green-field implementation of Salesforce Lightning with integrated solutions to meet future-state business requirements, including a coordinated business transition from Classic to Lightning. Collaborate with application and data teams regarding shared data entities, and support data governance and data modeling efforts for business data domains. Maintain best practices for software design/ development/ configuration/ integration/ testing/ deployment, as well as for production support, incident management, and backup/ recovery. Guide the team in compiling and maintaining comprehensive Salesforce ecosystem documentation, covering system/data architecture and technical design of core components.

Job Requirements:




  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electronics Engineering, or a related field or its foreign equivalent.




  1. 8 years of combined experience in software engineering, technical leadership, and solution architecture working on the Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud platforms.




  1. Other experience and skills must include:



  • Leadership experience with product owners, business analysts, data stewards, enterprise architects, and software developers to analyze, automate, and support complex business practices that span integrated business applications for global operations.
  • Salesforce Classic and Salesforce Lightning experience including solution design, with integrated application assessment, development, implementation, support, and infrastructure management.
  • Salesforce development experience with Apex, Triggers, Flows, Process Builder, Lightning App Builder, Web Services, REST, SOAP, and Migration and Integration Tools, while working across a range of global industries utilizing varied Salesforce business practices.
  • Cross-platform solution implementation experience with Marketing Automation Applications including Eloqua; Sales Enablement Tools including LISN, Outreach, and Sales Engagement; Solutions for Configuring/ Pricing/ Quoting including Salesforce; Document Generation/ Distribution including Conga; and Data Integration Middleware including Boomi.
  • Exposure to integrated solutions related to Strategic Account Management including Arpedio; Contract Life Cycle Management including Agiloft; and Customer Surveys including Qualtrics.
  • Ensuring reliability and stability of entire Salesforce infrastructure including backup and recovery, security including SSO or MFA, deployment strategy, and infrastructure advances or upgrades.
  • Translation of future-state business requirements into technical solution design options with coordinated data integrations, with orchestration of applicable business or technical transitions from current-state to future-state.
  • Facilitation of solution and integration design decisions with key technical and business stakeholders, working directly with leaders at all levels across the organization.
  • Intake queue management/sizing and resource planning/allocation and direct support for recruiting, onboarding, and supervision of staff and contractor resources.
  • Mentorship of team members with varying experiences.
  • Leveraging Agility practices and driving ongoing improvements to Jira-based delivery practices.
