The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and digitally fluent Quality Metrics & Digital Insights Specialist to join the PT Quality (PTQ) organization. In this impactful role, you will partner across global sites and functions to design and deliver data-driven solutions, dashboards, and advanced analytics that power decision-making and promote a culture of continuous improvement across the Pharma Technical (PT) network.

You will help translate complex quality and operational data into meaningful insights that inform strategy, support regulatory compliance, enable proactive risk mitigation, and unlock business value. Working at the intersection of Quality, Data Science, and Digital Innovation, you will be a key enabler of Roche's digital quality transformation and a contributor to the success of governance forums such as MRoQ.

This is a unique opportunity to shape how quality performance is measured and actioned in one of the world's leading biotech organizations.

The Opportunity
  • Develop and manage scalable, AI-enabled dashboards and performance scorecards to support PTQ leadership, MRoQ, and Quality Governance Boards. Utilize tools like Tableau and generative AI to deliver automated insights, narrative summaries, and proactive risk signals. Build on modern data platforms such as Snowflake to create trusted, reusable data products that enhance traceability, drive consistency, and enable data-informed decision-making and continuous improvement across the quality network.

  • Harmonize Key Quality Indicators (KQIs): Collaborate with PT sites and global functions to align KQIs, ensuring consistency, data integrity, and comparability across the organization.

  • Support Inspection Readiness: Enable traceability and data storytelling for audit outcomes and quality metrics to strengthen inspection preparedness.

  • Drive Digital Quality Solutions: Identify and implement digital use cases-including predictive analytics and reporting automation-in partnership with QDE, IIx, and other technical teams.

  • Advance User-Centric Analytics Tools: Apply Design Thinking and Human-Centered Design to build intuitive, scalable digital products that enhance quality performance.

  • Enable Cross-Functional Collaboration & Capability Building: Serve as a strategic partner across PT, lead data literacy initiatives, and coordinate the MRoQ network to align quality reporting and regulatory readiness.

Who you are
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Data Science, or related field; MBA or advanced analytics certification is a plus.

  • 12+ years in pharmaceutical, biotech, or other regulated industries with deep exposure to quality systems, operational excellence, or digital transformation.

  • Skilled in business intelligence tools, large datasets, databases, and reporting platforms; capable of translating data into actionable insights.

  • Strong understanding of GMP, ICH Q10, and principles of risk-based quality systems.

  • Proven ability to synthesize complex data, think critically, and drive insight-based decision-making.

  • Embraces experimentation and iterative learning with a focus on innovation and value creation.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead independently, influence without authority, and foster inclusive, high-performing, cross-functional teams.

Relocation benefits are not available for this posting.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of South San Francisco California is $148,100 - $275,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
