8:00am -5:00pm

Additional hours as needed to fulfill the needs of the department.

Function: Responsible for ensuring quality control of the operation, audit and compliance risk of the Retail Mortgage lending functions through managing and reporting. Requires knowledge of Retail Mortgage lending, applicable banking laws, federal and state regulations, Bank policies, & lending platforms.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists with documentation of regulatory and procedural differences and communicates this information to the manager responsible for the noted area.

    • Documents any regulatory errors or procedural documentation errors to create reports that are distributed to the responsible manager.

    • Maintains the compliance content of all desk top procedures and instructional manuals for the Department

    • Upon request, assist in the development and documentation of procedures.

  • On a continuous basis, keeps current on daily and ongoing regulatory updates, proposals and process changes that may impact the line of business.

    • Maintains working knowledge of compliance regulations relative to Retail Mortgage lending.

    • Applies knowledge of regulatory guidelines and industry best practices to mitigate risk and support the business line.

    • Proactively reads documentation and completes assigned training to maintain an understanding of and comply with laws, regulations, regulatory policies, bank policies and procedures pertaining to the employee's responsibilities.

    • Participates in ongoing continuing educations of process changes and regulatory updates

  • Exports all loan files to Loan Servicing for validation and boarding.

  • Assists in submitting Fannie Mae Audit requests.

  • Assists in Regulatory monitoring.

  • Assists in determining the cause of any compliance errors, tracks by employee, and communicates to the responsible supervisor.

  • Exercises a high-level of accuracy, initiative, interpersonal skills and confidentiality while performing tasks in order to contribute to the success of the department.

  • Upon request, assist the Retail Mortgage Compliance Manger with training and education of Retail Mortgage personnel, including operations and originations employees, regarding regulatory requirements and updates.

  • Maintains records and conducts correspondence related to the work.

  • Maintains a good working relationship with all S&T employees. Demonstrates the ability to work independently. Works as a team player to contribute to the success of the department and in turn the organization.

  • Performs additional duties as required.

Education:

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus specialized training or a two-year degree.

Experience:

Requires two to five years of general experience. One to two years specialized experience in loan documentation, preferred.

Physical Demands:

80% of the day is spent operating a keypad device. 20% of the day is spent operating electronic/office equipment. Specific vision requirements include close vision of 18"-20" for computer work.
