As a Principal Applied Science Manager, you will transform how M365 users conduct Deep Research by finetuning LLMs (large language model), chain of thought techniques, intelligent information retrieval techniques or through agent orchestration. These innovations will enhance M365 Chat, Researcher agent, Windows Companions, or highly personalized search and recommendations systems in widely used office applications. ResponsibilitiesYou will master and gain expertise in broad areas of AI and ML, including trending research techniques. You'll also gain deep knowledge of building enterprise intelligence on office user's data.You will review business requirements and incorporate research to meet business goals. You 'll provide strategic direction for the kinds of data used to solve problems and apply deep subject matter knowledge to support business impact.You will educate your team with industry, technological and competitor insights, lead by example, provide recognition as appropriate, and help establish best practices and standards. You'll identify and inspire new talent to join Microsoft and share research findings through publication.You will document work in progress and experimentation results and share findings to promote innovation. You'll also use your deep understanding of fairness and bias to contribute to ethics and privacy policies related to research processes and data collection.You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create scalable and ethical AI solutions. |
