Job Purpose Directly responsible for the complete operation of a designated production area. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Ensuring that all personnel are adhering to environmental, health, and safety standards Ensuring relevant PPE adherence Conducting accident and near miss investigations Checking all machine guards Reporting & escalating potential hazards Auditing quality basics and ensuring strict adherence to quality standards Addressing non-conformities and leading root cause investigations Ensuring that manufacturing targets for output and quality are met Leading daily team and department level meetings Ensures compliance with all EOS tools (hour-by-hour forms, MDI boards, accountability tags, etc.) Working on the production line Championing lean methodology Arranging the immediate repair of any equipment breakdown Training and developing production employees Qualifications Minimum Qualifications This position contains supervisory responsibilities 2+ years related experience in production field 1+ year supervisory experience Preferred Qualifications Ability to work in a team environment and prioritize work Ability to communicate effectively with subordinates, co-workers, management, vendors, and customers Work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment General Job Requirements Employees are responsible for wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment in the proper manner at all times. Must be able and willing to be on-call. Must be able and willing to wear a respirator. Must be able and willing to work overtime. Must be able and willing to work varying schedules which may include nights, weekends, and public holidays. This position is exposed to harmful materials such as lead/fiberglass products. Periodic blood tests are required to measure the level of lead. Precautions are taken by the company/employee to reduce the risk of exposure and help ensure everyones safety. This position requires working in a plant/warehouse environment. Therefore, expect varying working conditions.
