Job Summary

The Reisman group is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Staff Research Scientist to lead project-specific research in the field of machine learning for chemistry. The successful candidate will supervise research projects involving wet lab experiments, including high throughput experimentation to generate novel types of organic reaction datasets and the development of adapted machine learning models. This role is ideal for a Ph.D.-level scientist with extensive experience in organic chemistry and machine learning.

This is an Essential Reporting position. In the event of an emergency on campus, an employee designated as essential reporting has essential job skills that are needed for response and recovery and is expected to report to Campus as soon as possible.

Essential Job Duties

  • Lead and manage research machine learning projects within the Reisman group.
  • Apply machine learning to model and design experimental datasets.
  • Collaborate with team members to advance the program's goals.
  • Publish research findings in reputable scientific journals and present at conferences.

Basic Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Chemistry or a related field.
  • Extensive experience with machine learning.
  • Proven track record of research excellence demonstrated through publications and projects.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Hiring Range

$60,000 - $82,500 Per Year

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
