Job Description

The International Tax Planning Manager is an important role within Rockwell Automation's Global Tax department based on the high degree of interaction with and focus on Rockwell's approximately 100 non-U.S. legal entities and its expanding international business operations. These interactions provide the International Tax Planning Manager with an opportunity to advise and plan about Rockwell's non-U.S. businesses by applying experience in both U.S. International and local country tax matters. This will be a visible role within the Global Tax department as you will participate in interactions with Global Finance, Legal, Human Resources, Corporate Development, Treasury, and Business Unit colleagues while working with and reporting to the International Tax Director while working with other Global Tax team members. This role is based at Rockwell Automation's global headquarters in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Assist International Tax Director and VP, Tax with creating and implementing all international tax planning programs through technical analysis and modeling of the tax implications.
  • Help with the design and implement planning related to Rockwell's BEPS Pillar Two 2.0 obligations.
  • Monitor current and proposed tax law changes to determine and model global impact to our organization.
  • Help Corporate Tax to be a partner by networking with the regional finance teams and business contacts.
  • Identify tax issues in foreign business operations regarding legal structure, business lines and cross-border transactions.
  • Work with Corporate Development team related to integration activities related to Rockwell's international acquisitions.
  • Analyze planning aspects related to the global mobility of U.S. and non-U.S. employees.
  • Help support the department's efforts to respond to U.S. international tax and non-U.S. audits.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
  • MST, MBA or JD
  • CPA
  • Knowledge of U.S. international tax principles and non-U.S. tax concepts and systems based on experience related to third-party acquisitions
  • 6+ years of Big Four and/or large corporate income tax experience including 4+ years of international tax focused experience.
  • Planning, tax research, analytical and communication skills including the ability to communicate tax concepts to a non-tax audience.
  • Knowledge of U.S. international tax and Subchapter C corporate tax principles and non-U.S. tax concepts and systems.
  • Project management and organizational abilities
  • Experience with modeling tools, CorpTax tax compliance software, Longview or similar tax provision software tool, FCC, SAP, and Sharepoint.
