Description

As a member of a dynamic creative team the Marketing Specialist creates and executes strategic digital content across multiple platforms that support enrollment initiatives.


Description of Essential Functions (critical tasks)

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Serve as a member of the Marketing & Public Relations team by contributing to new projects sharing current industry trends and assisting in the development of the college's marketing strategies.
  2. Develop and maintain dynamic content for the college website including text, images and graphics that drive engagement and generate leads.
  3. Monitor and improve the College's Search Engine Optimization (SEO) presence.
  4. Analyze data from the website and ads to develop actionable insights that can be measured and tracked and report results.
  5. Design and distribute ads for traditional media and digital marketing including creation, distribution, and invoice reconciliation.
  6. Track results for reporting on campaigns and recommend improvements and test strategies for future campaigns.
  7. Write copy for marketing materials, ads and scripts.
  8. Complete graphic design projects.
  9. Collaborate with faculty and staff for the creation and implementation of new and ongoing marketing strategies and initiatives.
  10. Photograph college events, employees activities and teams.
  11. Coordinate and facilitate photo shoots with outside professional photographers.
  12. Ensure consistent branding and accessibility standards across all collateral, as well as ensure materials are accessible, inclusive, meet postal regulations, and adhere to budget.
  13. Coordinate multiple projects including producing high quality work under tight deadlines.
  14. Serve as the Marketing Production Specialist back-up.
  15. Other duties as assigned

Specific Functional Job Requirements

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required in marketing, communications, digital media, or related field.

Experience Requirements:
  • Experience in website content management, copywriting, marketing and data analysis; digital marketing; graphic design; public relations/marketing or a related communications field

Knowledge:
  • Understanding of and experience with digital creative tools; Proficient in Adobe Create Suites Software including InDesign, Photoshop; Illustrator; knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office; Knowledge of WordPress and Salesforce preferred.

Skills:
  • Strong understanding of marketing objectives and data as they apply to creative development. Knowledge of developing marketing strategies and creative content, ability to measure effectiveness, adjust in real time and achieve outcomes. Knowledge of the graphic design process from concept to print-ready.

Personal Requirements:
  • Versatility, analytical, curious, positive attitude, enthusiasm, organized and attentive to detail; ability to handle multiple tasks and work well under pressure; ability to work occasional night and weekends; ability to travel where necessary.
