Hiring Pay Range: $20.50 - $26.75 Hourly
Full Pay Range: $20.50 - $33.00 Hourly

Salary offers are based on the candidate's equivalent experience and internal equity with other employees within the same job classification. A higher wage would only be offered based on direct court related or legal experience (i.e. such as that with a law firm). Additional questions regarding pay can be discussed with HR during the hiring process if you are offered a position. The position is eligible for overtime compensation for all hours worked over 40 in the designated workweek.

About the Position

Take the lead and become our Senior Court Financial Operations Specialist!

As the Senior Court Financial Operations Specialist, you will assist the Clerk of the Superior Court with the disbursement of court-ordered fees and provide account receivables to the public, the legal community, Courts, County, and other governmental agencies so that they can be assured that all Superior Court monies are properly receipted, accounted for, and disbursed.

We Require

  • Three years of progressively responsible legal, court, justice system, or administrative support-related experience

  • High school diploma or GED

  • A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis

Job Contributions

  • Enter criminal financial obligation information of moderate complexity into an automated accounting system

  • Post court-ordered payments received expediently and accurately; Sort, route, and copy documents received from the court pursuant to established procedures

  • Perform necessary account research and maintenance, making complex adjustments and calculating account balances as required

  • Respond to customer inquiries both in-person and via the telephone, providing the highest level of service possible

  • Perform victim locate activities utilizing a variety of resources

  • Interact with the Court and related agencies in seeking to ensure the accuracy of information entered into the automated system

  • Provide extensive customer service by responding to a high volume of written and verbal inquiries from a variety of sources

  • Provide training for new and peer staff

Working Conditions

  • Mostly office setting in a high volume, fast-paced environment

  • The position requires long periods of sitting while completing computer activities

  • Must have the ability to lift boxes up to 20 pounds and carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds at a distance of 500 feet

  • May require travel to and from job-related locations during the course of a scheduled workday, subject to County policies regarding the use of County vehicles and/or private vehicles on County business
