Compensation Manager

Job Summary

This position is responsible for the development, implementation, execution, and ongoing assessment of the company's compensation program through researching, analyzing, and administering the organization's base salary and incentive plans. This role will also serve in a consultative capacity to leadership and People Team members regarding compensation principles and practices to ensure our programs align with business strategy and the Total Rewards philosophy and provide a competitive Total Reward package for our Partners.


Essential Duties

  • Designs and leads the execution of the company's compensation programs to include the annual merit and incentive programs. Analyzes trends, research best practices, monitors economic conditions, and keeps abreast of applicable regulations to ensure compliance with state and federal wage and hour laws; making recommendations for program revisions and development.
  • Manages and continuously improves the job recommendation process by leveraging automation tools and data-driven methodologies to ensure consistency, efficiency, and alignment with organization structure.
  • Manages participation in compensation surveys and industry survey groups. Analyzes survey data to support budgeting, job evaluations, salary range movement, wage and salary benchmarking, FLSA compliance, and incentive planning - ensuring internal equity, external competitiveness, and legal compliance.
  • Oversees the administration of Payscale to ensure data is consistently accurate, current, and aligned with compensation strategies.
  • Executes the job evaluation process for the entire organization, ensuring consistent valuation of key job attributes and integration of market data. Develops compensation and salary structure recommendations in compliance with internal & external benchmarking standards, as well as applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Designs and prepares ad hoc compensation reports for management, automating and streamlining various processes to enhance our reporting and analytics capabilities.
  • Fulfills compliance and reporting requirements, and maintains current knowledge of related government rules and regulations.
  • Reviews salary and annual incentive increases for compliance with organization policy and budget. Partners closely with Payroll team in execution of incentive plan payments.
  • Collaborates with Talent Acquisition team and HRBP's in generating salary analyses. Provides guidance and recommendations to Managers and Recruiters regarding salary offers, promotions and other pay transactions.

Minimum Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • CCP Certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in compensation cycle management.
  • Prior experience in full cycle compensation management.
  • Working knowledge of job evaluation and job analysis.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Experience with Payscale and UKG a plus.
  • Exeptional written and verbal communication.
  • Strong collaboration skills at all levels of the organization.
