Job Purpose

We are now accepting applications for an Inventory Control Clerk position in department 20, reporting to the Inventory Control Supervisor. This is for A-shift and group IV-PS pay. This position performs material handling and picking for work orders and pick sheets. Assists with the control and management of inventory to ensure that inventory accuracy, flexibility, and integrity. Ensures manufacturing has materials required to complete orders. Replenish point of use supplies and enable production workers to add value.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This list of tasks is illustrative only and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and tasks performed by this position. Persons in this position will perform all other tasks as assigned and work overtime as required:

  1. Locate products in appropriate shelves, overstock, or storage.
  2. Participate in daily and annual cycle counts and report findings to Team Lead.
  3. Assist in maintaining the security and safety of the Company's warehouse.
  4. Use ERP system to investigate inventory movements and look up parts as needed.
  5. Take initiative to identify and research incorrect parts and inventory problems.
  6. Complete and submit all paperwork (cycle counts, pick sheets, etc.) in a timely and accurate manner.
  7. Operate forklift, pallet jacks, and other tools and equipment to move materials.
  8. Support continuous improvement efforts with the team and promote healthy, respectful communications.
  9. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  10. Some weekends, later / earlier shifts starts may be needed based on needed inventory counts to be performed.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of one year of related materials or inventory experience required.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and enterprise resource planning system (such as SAP) required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of Lean manufacturing, ISO quality procedures, and mechanical and electrical assembly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of cycle counting, KanBan, FIFO, and general inventory management preferred.
