Phillips Medisize, a Molex company is seeking a Sourcing Manager to manage our New Product Introduction/New Product Development and Category Sourcing. This role will serve as the sourcing single point of contact for the engineering teams, supporting the sourcing activities of all BOM line items for the assigned projects. During the project's development, you will work with the Global and Regional Category Management teams to execute sourcing and supplier strategies.

In this role, you will also manage a category supporting Phillips Medisize. You will collaborate with the Global Supply Chain and Category Management organizations, working closely with cross-functional teams across BU, SBM, and NPD/I sourcing to develop category strategies that meet the business's needs

This is a hybrid position out of our Hudson, WI location.

What You Will Do

  • Partner with Phillips Medisize design teams throughout the Product Development and Introduction process to manage BOM cost through Product Launch.
  • New product supplier identification, sourcing, selection, and contracting for the MPS division.
  • Bring Design to Value (Manufacturing, Quality, Cost, etc.) viewpoint to Product design teams.
  • Apply appropriate category strategies in line with preferred suppliers (Metals, Plastics, Electronics, Outsourcing, etc.) to new product sourcing needs.
  • Initiative-taking supply risk management in the new product development/introduction and initial volume phases.
  • Monitor sourcing and procurement innovation trends in the marketplace.
  • Develop, implement, and support strategic procurement strategies and cost savings goals for assigned categories.
  • Manage supplier evaluation and selection, negotiate pricing, terms and contracts ensuring supply continuity and quality.
  • May require business travel, domestic and international, up to 15%.
  • Lead Supplier Relationship Management on the behalf of Phillips Medisize as part of the larger Molex Organization.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelors degree and 5+ years of direct experience focused on electrical and/or mechanical categories (machining, metal stamping, springs, custom mechanical parts, chemicals, printed circuit board assemblies, printed circuit boards, injection molding, high-speed cables, or similar direct material categories) OR 8+ years of direct experience
  • Strong understanding of the product development process.
  • Experience in pricing and quoting.

  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels within the organization, as well as deliver oral presentations on a moderately complex subject matter.
  • Demonstrated experience driving cross-functional collaboration across business units and geographies.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
