The primary responsibility of the Senior Mechanical Technician is to fabricate equipment, systems and apparatus involving mechanical, process piping, machine tool, and sheet metal technologies.

You will maintain a high level of technical expertise in the design, fabrication, and installation of mechanical equipment, systems, and apparatus. You will communicate complete ideas and concepts from verbal or formally documented drawings and specifications into complete equipment, systems, and apparatus.

Required Skills / Abilities:

  • Read and interpret technical documentation and drawings, apply basic math to configure/build assemblies, and understand both written and verbal concepts to fabricate piping/tubing systems.

  • Experience with high pressure tubing, process piping and small bore (3/4") tube bending,

  • Estimating project labor, materials, and schedule.

  • Basic sheet metal fabrication experience (shears, punches, press brakes, & sheet metal rolls).

  • Proficiency with manual shop equipment including horizontal/vertical band saw, table saw, drill press, lathe, and Bridgeport style milling machines.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Ability to work independently and complete tasks with minimal supervision.

  • Adhere to all safety requirements, safety compliance.

  • Maintain a high level of technical expertise in design, fabrication and installation of mechanical equipment, systems, and apparatus.

  • Ability to communicate complete ideas and concepts from verbal or formally documented drawings and specifications into complete equipment, systems, and apparatus.

Minimum Hiring Requirements:

  • An Associates degree is preferred but is not required.

  • 5 years of related work experience is required.

  • Experience with process systems/applications and related equipment is required.

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal is required.

  • Strong interpersonal skills are required.

  • A valid driver's license is required.
