Location: This position is onsite at the Parnall Service Center located in Jackson, MI. The selected candidate must be within a commutable distance or willing to relocate (relocation package is available for those that qualify). General Summary of Job Responsibilities The Senior Network Engineer plays a key role in designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise network infrastructure. This role includes hands-on configuration of networking hardware, troubleshooting advanced issues, and ensuring availability and performance across LAN/WAN environments. The Senior Network Engineer collaborates with IT and security teams to ensure network solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with business needs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Participate in planning and execution of disaster recovery strategies. Conduct network performance tuning, capacity planning, and fault analysis. Document configurations, network diagrams, and standard operating procedures. Mentor junior engineers and provide escalation support for complex issues. Evaluate and deploy new network tools and technologies to improve operations. Provide input to network strategy and roadmaps. Design and implement network solutions to meet business and technical requirements. Configure and manage routing and switching protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless systems. Other duties as assigned or may be necessary Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Demonstrates excellent teamwork and embodies the virtues of being humble, hungry, and people smart Professional Standard Professional Standard Deep knowledge of routing, switching, and security protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, IPSec). Proficiency with enterprise networking platforms. Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills. Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder management abilities. Demonstrates initiative and leadership in technical problem solving. Education/Experience Bachelor's degree in realted field and2+ years of experience with firewalls, VPNs, wireless, VoIP, and network monitoring tools.4+years of hands-on experience in IT or Network Administration. [OR] Associate's degree in realted field and 4+ years of experience with firewalls, VPNs, wireless, VoIP, and network monitoring tools. 6+years of hands-on experience in IT or Network Administration. [OR] high school diploma and 6+ years of experience with firewalls, VPNs, wireless, VoIP, and network monitoring tools. 8+years of hands-on experience in IT or Network Administration.
