Location: This position is onsite at the Parnall Service Center located in Jackson, MI. The selected candidate must be within a commutable distance or willing to relocate (relocation package is available for those that qualify).

General Summary of Job Responsibilities
The Senior Network Engineer plays a key role in designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise network infrastructure. This role includes hands-on configuration of networking hardware, troubleshooting advanced issues, and ensuring availability and performance across LAN/WAN environments. The Senior Network Engineer collaborates with IT and security teams to ensure network solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with business needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participate in planning and execution of disaster recovery strategies.
  • Conduct network performance tuning, capacity planning, and fault analysis.
  • Document configurations, network diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide escalation support for complex issues.
  • Evaluate and deploy new network tools and technologies to improve operations.
  • Provide input to network strategy and roadmaps.
  • Design and implement network solutions to meet business and technical requirements.
  • Configure and manage routing and switching protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless systems.
  • Other duties as assigned or may be necessary

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Demonstrates excellent teamwork and embodies the virtues of being humble, hungry, and people smart Professional Standard Professional Standard
  • Deep knowledge of routing, switching, and security protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, IPSec).
  • Proficiency with enterprise networking platforms.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Demonstrates initiative and leadership in technical problem solving.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in realted field and2+ years of experience with firewalls, VPNs, wireless, VoIP, and network monitoring tools.4+years of hands-on experience in IT or Network Administration.
  • [OR] Associate's degree in realted field and 4+ years of experience with firewalls, VPNs, wireless, VoIP, and network monitoring tools. 6+years of hands-on experience in IT or Network Administration.
  • [OR] high school diploma and 6+ years of experience with firewalls, VPNs, wireless, VoIP, and network monitoring tools. 8+years of hands-on experience in IT or Network Administration.
