Clean Line Technician (Temporary)

This is a temporary position for 6 months.

We are currently seeking a Cleanline Technician who will be responsible for running and helping maintain automated cleaning machines to clean mechanical components.

Main responsibilities:

• Working in an ISO Class 7 cleanroom environment (wearing full clean room suit, facemask, gloves, safety glasses) following safety and quality protocols
• Operating cleaning equipment and performing basic maintenance: chemical changes, cleaning, making sure to check for low chemicals, etc.
• Performing blacklight (UVA) inspection of mechanical components
• Must be able to read and comprehend process sheets
• Assisting Production, Facilities, and Engineering with scheduling, maintenance, and continuous improvement projects
• Able to help others clean, inspect, and package optics
• Must be able to multitask on Cleanline 1 and 2
• Seeking other work when both clean lines are down.
• Employees are expected to serve as role models for safe work practices and behaviors. This includes following established health and safety policies and procedures, maintaining a clean, organized work area, wearing and properly storing all personal protective equipment (PPE), and engaging as a safety-conscious worker with personal safety and wellness as a priority.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Required to have visual acuity with or without corrective lenses for visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and measurement devices
• Must be able to lift 25lbs
• Must have good communication skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Previous work experience in a cleanroom environment is desired but not required.

Benefits: Paid Time Off and Holiday Pay.

Pay Range: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Our facility in Boulder, Coloradohas key functions in Research and Development, Operations, Production, and other disciplines. This facility specializesin the manufacturing of ultra-precision optical components, optical thin film coatings and optical sub-assemblies for demanding applications in lasers, materials processing, instrumentation, life sciences, avionics, and defense.

This site offers capabilities that include substantial design and engineering resources, comprehensive optical fabrication and coating capabilities, advanced assembly technology and an extensive in-house metrology lab.
