As a Brand Manager with Smithfield you will lead the development and execution of marketing strategies and brand plans across product quality, innovation, pricing, distribution, and promotion. This role drives category strategies, analyzes business performance, and collaborates with cross-functional teams and external partners to enhance brand impact and customer engagement.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Brand Management

    • Develop and execute marketing plans, leveraging promotional and public relations tactics on national and account-specific levels.

    • Analyze market trends and consumer insights to optimize strategies and drive brand performance.

    • Lead cross-functional collaboration to achieve marketing objectives and manage the brand budget.

    • Conduct market and competitive analysis using syndicated and proprietary data.

    • Oversee legal approvals for documents, contracts, and external materials.

    • Create sales presentations, execute customer marketing plans, and track product performance at retail.

  • Advertising and Promotion Management

    • Develop an integrated brand image and messaging across advertising, packaging, and promotional efforts.

    • Utilize consumer insights to inform brand strategy and communication.

    • Manage agency relationships and strategic partnerships with key retail partners.

  • Innovation Management

    • Lead new product development from concept to commercialization, leveraging consumer insights and market potential.

    • Identify growth opportunities and cost improvements to enhance product offerings.

  • Leadership: Drives a positive employee experience through leadership by way of employee development and coaching.

WHAT WE'RE SEEKING:

  • Experience & Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Marketing or related field and 5+ years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.

  • Leadership Experience: 2+ years of demonstrated experience in team management/development or project leadership is required.

  • Budget & Cross-Functional Management: Experienced in brand budget management and collaborating across teams.

  • Data & Market Insights: Skilled in working with syndicated data to inform decision-making.

  • Product Commercialization: Proven ability to launch new products and extend existing lines.

  • Consumer Goods Expertise: Background in Marketing, Advertising, Sales Promotion, and Sales within the industry.

  • Brand Strategy & Market Dynamics: Strong understanding of brand management, marketing strategies, media, and sales principles.

  • Project & Output Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and deliver high-quality results that drive company value.

  • Analytical & Technical Skills: Strong quantitative abilities with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
