Position Summary:

Applied Training Solutions, LLC is seeking an After-Action/Continual Improvement Leader to collect input from SERT partners on both successes and areas for improvement. This role is responsible for synthesizing feedback and performance data into a comprehensive after-action report and improvement plan, supporting future response readiness and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:




  • Collect feedback from SERT partners on operational performance





  • Identify areas of improvement and success across incident response operations





  • Create detailed after-action reports and improvement plans





  • Facilitate continual improvement initiatives across SERT operations





  • Coordinate improvement planning sessions and debriefs





  • Support process mapping and development of corrective actions





  • Ensure alignment of improvement plans with strategic objectives




Basic Qualifications:




  • Process improvement and mapping experience





  • 3+ years of work experience in a related role





  • Strong analytical and report writing skills





  • Ability to coordinate and communicate across multiple stakeholders





  • Must be a U.S. citizen




Preferred Qualifications:




  • Experience developing After-Action Reports (AARs) in emergency management or public sector settings





  • Familiarity with ICS and emergency response frameworks





  • Knowledge of quality assurance and improvement methodologies

  • U.S. Citizenship Required: Yes





  • Performance Location: On-site while on assignment (location TBD)





  • Relocation Assistance: Not applicable





  • Clearance Required: None





  • Travel Required: Yes - up to 100% while on assignment




Working Environment:

Work is performed in Emergency Operations Centers (EOCs), field environments, or remote coordination centers. Extended hours and travel may be required across the continental United States and its territories during emergency activations.
