OverviewMicrosoft Silicon, Cloud Hardware, and Infrastructure Engineering (SCHIE) is the team behind Microsoft's expanding Cloud Infrastructure and responsible for powering Microsoft's "Intelligent Cloud" mission. SCHIE delivers the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, Teams, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform globally with our server and data center infrastructure, security and compliance, operations, globalization, and manageability solutions. Our focus is on smart growth, high efficiency, and delivering a trusted experience to customers and partners worldwide and we are looking for passionate, high energy engineers and Program Managers to help achieve that mission. The SPACE Team within SCHIE, develops advanced analytical and tooling solutions to support and improve the quality of Microsoft Azure. We collect and analyze data across the full Azure stack, HW & SW components, Silicon development processes, and much more. We also have a focus of developing and implementing advanced AI solutions across SPACE in order to improve quality, security and productivity/throughput. ResponsibilitiesRecruit, hire, and manage top talent to build high-performing, cross-functional teamsDefine and drive project and team vision aligned with strategic business objectivesEstablish and implement standards, processes, and best practices across teamsEvaluate ROI and prioritize work based on business value and impactLead collaboration with internal teams and external partners to deliver resultsTrack, report, and communicate progress on key initiatives and deliverablesCoordinate the scheduling, testing, tracking, and deployment of software tools supporting hardware manufacturing and fleet operationsSupport Lean/Six Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, reduce cycle times, and streamline operationsTranslate customer and business requirements into actionable project plansSolve complex problems using data-driven, analytical approaches and sound judgmentManage risks, dependencies, and project uncertainties with proactive planning and mitigationApply KPIs and performance metrics to measure success and guide decisionsInfluence stakeholders and align teams through negotiation and communicationManage programs across the full product lifecycle, including both hardware and softwareEnsure project quality through effective quality assurance processes and risk analysisCommunicate technical concepts and project specifications clearly to diverse audiences | |
